Obituary of Carolyn Sue Young
Carolyn Sue Young, age 79 of Mentor died on February 27, 2023 at Altercare of Mentor. She was born on June 24, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Wesley and Beatrice (nee: McLean) Dodgen. Carolyn worked for Painesville City Local Schools for over 30 years, where she was a custodian and lunch lady. Carolyn was an avid reader and enjoyed flower gardening. She especially cherished her time with her family.
She is survived by her son, George (Maribel) Young; daughters, Barbara (Wayne) Luczywo, and Brenda (Jay) Dent; grandchildren, Timothy (Kendall) DeWitt, Michael Young, Alexandra (Jimmy) Juarez, Cheyenne (Mike) Clemens, and Sierra Dent; great grandchildren, Dominic, Mariana, Harper, Addison, and Kennedy; and sisters, Vivian Harris and Louise Weakley.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Joe, Pete, Hazel, and Jean.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 3:00PM until the memorial service at 4:00PM at Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio 44077.
