
Obituary of Helen Alice Ronke
Helen Alice Ronke, age 82 of Painesville Twp., died on October 4, 2022 at David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland. She was born on August 17, 1940 in Cleveland to the late Roy Edward and Helen Louise (nee: Moeller) Ronke. Helen graduated from Miami University in 1961 and earned her master’s degree from Kent State University in 1965. She was a speech-language pathologist for Painesville City Schools for 31 years and she also taught at Lakeland Community College. Helen was a member of Willoughby Fine Arts Women's Auxiliary and Painesville First Church Congregational.
Helen is survived by her daughters, Cara (Dean) Boerrigter of Colorado Springs, CO, and Katy (Bradford) Hegrat of Chardon; grandchildren, Dean Jr., Berea, Rebekah, Anna, Lillian, Parker, Corbin, and Emelia; brother, Roy E. Ronke Jr., MD; nephews, John Piper and Jim (Pam) Piper; great niece, Carly; and great nephew, Zachary.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Carol Piper.
A small graveside service will be held on Monday, October 10 at 12:00 p.m. at Mentor Municipal Cemetery, 6881 Hopkins Rd., Mentor, Ohio 44060. A memorial gathering will be held at Painesville First Church Congregational at a later date.
