Obituary of Genevieve Barbara Haight
Genevieve "Genie" B. Haight, age 87 of Chardon and previously of Conneaut, died on July 28, 2022 at Mapleview Country Villa in Chardon. She was born on March 2, 1935 in Warren, Ohio to the late Harry and Jessie (nee: Corwin) Check. Genie retired from Kroger Grocery Store. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.
She is survived by her children; Alan J. Haight, William J. Haight, and Connie (Michael) Burgess; grandchildren, Joshua Haight, Greg Haight, Mark Haight, Michael Burgess, Jr., Nathan Burgess, and Dylan Haight; and 8 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Haight; siblings, Alverta Carocci, Naomi (Lee) Sabo, Velma Haight, Minnie Nagy, Elton Check, and Lucille Stephens; and great grandchild, Alex Haight.
The family will receive friends from 10-11AM on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio 44077. A graveside service will be at 2:00PM at Pine Hill Cemetery, Cemetery Hill Road, Gowanda, NY 14070.
