Obituary of Maxie Lee Pryor
Maxie Lee Pryor, age 75 passed away July 2, 2022 at her home in Painesville. She was born December 23, 1946 in Painesville to the late Mack Jones and Bertha Lee (Humphries) Jones-Robinson. She was a lifelong Painesville resident.
Maxie was a 1965 graduate of Harvey High School and a graduate of Lakeland Community College with a degree in nursing. She was a a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Painesville under the leadership of the late Rev. Manuel Hendricks. She served on the Pulpit Committee and sang in the choir. She enjoyed cooking for family and anyone else that came over. Her greatest joy was her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Cherisse (Dwight) Ferguson, Anthony Pryor Jr., Terrence (Cynthia) Pryor and Toya (Lynn) Whitten. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Dominic Pryor, Dwight Ferguson Jr., Antoya Reed, Terrelle Smith, Elijah Pryor, Zoey Pryor, Anthony Pryor III, Anthony Colon, Alexa, Tersina Thomas, Terrence Pryor Jr., Domiana Whitten and Jaylen Whitten as well as 9 great grandchildren. She also leaves her sisters Shirley Hankton, Mary (James) McClatcher, Joyce Little and brother Ernest (Judith) Jones. Maxie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Anthony Pryor Sr., and sisters Barbara A. Jones and Patricia Thompson.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 8th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Holy Ground Church of God, 6640 Stratford Rd., Concord, Ohio 44077. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the church with burial following at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.
