Obituary of Orrin Albert Bushnell

Orrin A. Bushnell, age 87 went to be with the Lord on June 3, 2022. He was born at home to Claude and Bessie Bushnell on November 24, 1934 and spent his whole life in Painesville. He graduated from Harvey High School class of 1953. He began to work for the Lake County Road Department soon thereafter. Much later he worked for Painesville City Municipal Light Plant. He retired from there in 1985. He then worked as the Maintenance Manager at College Park Apartments for 16 years and then became manager at Blue Rock Christian Camp for 15 years and retired again. He was a faithful Christian and attended the First Church of Christ in Painesville where he served as Deacon, Trustee, Elder, on the Mission Team and went on several mission trips. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nancy Bushnell and their four children, Brenda (Bob) Chance, Brian (Donna) Bushnell, Barb (Mike) Moore and Betsy (Chris) Burton; grandchildren David (Megan) Bushnell, Diane (Steve) Toomey, and Derek (Arica) Bushnell, Ben (Hunter) Burton, Caleb Burton and Zach Burton, Stephen (Nicole) Moore and Sara Moore, and Kyle (Abigail) Chance; great grandchildren Jeremiah, Lexi, Josiah and Cosette Toomey, Jonah, Roman and Sadie Bushnell and Scarlett and Savannah Burton and Madalin Bushnell. He also leaves his sister-in-law Phyllis Bushnell. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Nancy Jane and brothers Robert (Phyllis) and Earnest (Elaine) Bushnell. A walk through visitation will be Friday, June 10th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Avenue, Painesville. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at First Church of Christ, 422 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio 44077 and will be live streamed at www.painesvillechurch.com or their facebook page at pvillefcc. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Painesville. EVERYONE IS ASKED TO WEAR A MASK, DURING ALL PARTS OF VISITATION AND THE FUNERAL SERVICES.
