Obituary of Regina G. Smith

Regina "Gina" (Webster) Smith, age 70 of Perry, passed away April 5, 2022 at home. She was born August 30, 1951 in Painesville to the late Everett and Leona (Winland) Webster. Gina enjoyed hiking the Appalachian Trail and camping. She enjoyed her leisure time and vacationing with her family. She and her husband Bob enjoyed their walks and watching the sunset. She was a devoted member of First Church of Christ in Painesville where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and was very active with the Mission Committee. Gina retired from the Riverside Local Schools as School Secretary at Hadden Elementary after 17 years. She also worked alongside her sister Peggy at Peg's Flower Shop and Norris Garden Center in Perry. Gina is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert whom she married July 7, 1973, her sons Kory (Clare) of Canton and Jason (Sue) of Geneva; grandchildren Cole, Luke, Sam and Lila; sister Peggy (Jim) Norris of Perry, brother Kevin of Atlanta; sister-in-law Cheryl (Kent) Marks of Painesville Twp. and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws Bob and Shirley (Norris) Smith and her brother Dennis Webster. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 9 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Avenue, Painesville. A memorial service will be follow at Noon with Rev. Dr. Trevor Littleton officiating. Burial will follow at Perry Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Missions Committee at First Church of Christ, 422 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio 44077.
