Obituary of Carol Irene Nagy

Carol Irene Nagy, age 84 of Perry, passed away February 6, 2022 at her home. She was born June 3, 1937 in Willoughby, Ohio to the late Earl and Viola Wyant and was a lifelong area resident, except for 2 years in Georgia when she married her husband who was stationed at Ft. Benning. Carol was a graduate of Perry High School and retired from A.G. Edwards Investments in Mentor as their receptionist. Prior to A.G. Edwards, she was employed at Bank One, and was a switchboard operator at Ohio Bell in Painesville. She enjoyed golfing at courses around the world with her husband and her best buddies, Tom and Colleen Endemann, bowling and gardening. She found satisfaction in weeding flower beds, and no weed was safe in her presence. She is survived by her husband Gilbert Nagy whom she married June 7, 1958 at the Hungarian Reformed Church in Fairport Harbor; daughter Pamela Harding (Jack Fait) of Willowick and son Douglas (Renee') Nagy of Canfield, Ohio; grandchildren Caleigh Harding, Christopher Harding, Kyle Nagy and Rachael Nagy. She also leaves her sisters Betty Pesho and Shirley Szepesi and several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Earl, James and Robert and sister Lois. And to her closest friends, she is taking her motto "DFWTQ" with her. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 12th from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Avenue, Painesville, Ohio. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Covid 10 protocol: masks are optional. Burial will take place following in Perry Cemetery.
