Obituary of Glenn Charles Silbaugh

Glenn C. Silbaugh, age 75 of Painesville passed away January 22, 2022 at UH Geauga Medical Center. He was born August 5, 1946 in Farmington, Pennsylvania to the late Kenneth W. and Dolly (Dean) Silbaugh. Glenn was a veteran of the United States Army and had been employed at E & W Services in Mentor for 30 years and then went to work for OSI in Mentor retiring after 17 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Painesville, the Fairport Senior Center and American Legion Post 60 in Painesville. He enjoyed pitching horseshoes, corn hole, and was an avid Steelers fan. He cherished his grandchildren and enjoyed making them laugh. He will be remembered as a jokester but most of all a loving husband, father and papa. Glenn is survived by his wife Arlene (Dye) whom he married September 30, 1965 at Central Christian Church in Uniontown, Pennsylvania; children Glenn T. (AnDao) Silbaugh, Kerry S. (Amy C.) Silbaugh, Carla (Jerome) Reynolds, and Ryan G. (Jenny) Silbaugh. He also leaves his grandchildren Tia Silbaugh, Kara Silbaugh, Brooke Silbaugh, Grace Silbaugh, Tatum Silbaugh, Nicholas Reynolds, Vincent Reynolds and great grandchildren as well as siblings Alice M. Bolen (Donald, deceased) , Rex Silbaugh (Ky) and Kay Morrison and sisters-in-law Twila Young, Marian Butterfield and brother-in-law George "Bud" Dye. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Sandra Oaks, mother-in-law Josephine Young and step father-in-law Anthony Bernardi and many wonderful friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 27 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Avenue, Painesville. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Rev Anthony Edwards of First Baptist Church in Painesville officiating.
