Obituary of Glenn Howard Wright

Glenn "Pete" Howard Wright age 84, of Painesville, Ohio, died on October 19, 2021 at his home. He was born on March 14, 1937 in Eastlake, Ohio to the late William and Helen (nee: Schneider) Wright. Pete worked for Delno Inc. and managed Richmond Street Gas Station in Painesville, where he cooked his infamous hamburgers and operated the Game Room. He also managed Colby Coe gas station in Madison, Ohio. As a school-aged young man, one of the great joys of his life was working with his father at Coyne Laundry. Pete was a dedicated father and grandfather. He was known to be a jokester and loved making people laugh. He enjoyed talking and always helped others. He especially enjoyed his “Coffee Clutch” at the Painesville McDonalds. He is survived by his children, Peter (Jerry) Wright, Holly (David) Lee, Missy (Russ) Conley, Ginny Wright, Betsy (Rufino) Ramos, John DeMore, Chris DeMore, and Willy (Sandy) DeMore. His grandchildren, Johnny, Merlin, Cherry, Christopher, David, Dawn, Ashley, Ricardo Jr., Juan, David Jr., and Austin; as well as great grandchildren, Rileigh, Ariana, and Kane; brother, Kenneth “Kenny” (Judy) Wright, Sherry Austen (Niece). In addition to his parents William and Helen, he is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Austin DeMore Wright; and his siblings Marie Drake, William “Bill” Wright, Violet “Dolly” Shaub, Edwin “Cop” Wright, Donald Wright, and Leonard “Tiny” Wright. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 2-5PM at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio 44077. Funeral service will be Monday at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Private family burial will be later in Willoughby Sharpe Cemetery, Willoughby, Ohio.
