Obituary of Jimmy R. Stinson

Jimmy R. Stinson age 79 of Painesville Twp., went home to be with the Lord on May 23, 2021 at his home. He was born on November 16, 1941 in Hartselle, AL to the late Woodrow and Virgie (Morrow) Stinson. Jimmy retired from Painesville Twp. Road Department in 2004. He was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. Jimmy loved playing music and was a member of Bear Mountain Ramblers Bluegrass Band and Country Music Boys Band. He also enjoyed playing music with fellow church members and jam sessions with friends who became family He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his Grandkids. He was a devoted father and caregiver to his daughter, Denise. He would tell everyone they were blessed to be given my sister to care for, it was his honor. He was her everything. He was a loving father to all of his children. He is survived by his children, Dan (Bev), Don (Jill), Denise, Dave (Darren), and Deb (Brian) Kerr; grandchildren, Melissa Bramer, Rachael, Jake, Austin, Allie Stinson and Brady and Reagan Kerr; 4 great grandchildren; and brother, Ray (Barb) Stinson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis J. Stinson. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 4-7PM at Lakeside Baptist Church, 306 Fairport Nursery Rd., Painesville, Ohio 44077. The funeral service will follow at 7:00PM with Rev. Arlie Spargur presiding. Memorial contributions are suggested to Deepwood Foundation, 8121 Deepwood Blvd., Mentor, Ohio 44060.
