Obituary of Norman Glen Crummy

Norman G. Crummy, 86, of Perry Ohio passed away April 21, 2021 at Lake West Hospital after a short illness. Born in Glade Mills Pennsylvania on June 5, 1934, he was the son of the late Lyle J. Crummy and M. Elizabeth Truver Crummy. Norm graduated from Mars High School in 1952 and joined the Marines shortly thereafter where he served during and after the Korean War. He fulfilled his dream of seeing some of the world by being stationed in Japan after serving in California. He met his future wife, Agnes at Danceland and left Penn State to work on the family farm. Eventually they settled in Perry Ohio in 1973. Norm worked as a truck driver, for a home builder, and spent 25 years traveling the northeastern United States as a Greyhound bus driver. He retired from Greyhound in 1990 and worked as a driver for Cleveland Southeastern Lines and later as a driver for the equestrian program at Lake Erie College. He was a member of Painesville Baptist Church. He was a friend to all with a great smile and a funny story to share. Norman is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Agnes D. Crummy, Son Norm of Goose Creek, SC; daughter Aleen (Guy) Williams of Mechanicsville, VA; Grandchildren Meagan (Elrich) Mey, Evan (Julia) Williams, one great-grandson Ari Mey and many nieces, nephews and friends to cherish his memory.
