Obituary of Richard M. Tibbits

Dear Friends & Family Thank you for the many heartfelt ways you've reached out to us with so many anecdotes, remembrances & photographs. Richard was a loving man & brother who held us all dear in his heart. He had a generosity of spirit that shown best when sharing time with others. Though he & Bette didn't have children they both acted as parents & confidants to so many over the years. Those who were touched are better today for Richard's sage advice, he could be a bit gruff at times but they knew it was honest and straight from the heart. Richard was a graduate of the CIA (Culinary Institute of America) who liked nothing better then to eat & drink with friends & family. He had a keen sense of humor that he enjoyed as much as others. At the same time he was a seriously civic minded man who was always searching for solutions to benefit others; especially the poor & vulnerable in his community. He took great pride in his volunteer work with Extended Housing Inc. In honoring Richard's wishes he has been cremated with many herbs & spices, his ashes will be placed in a beautiful Bronze serving urn, soon to be next to Bette's. We will be commemorating & celebrating Richard's remarkable life and are pleased to invite his many family, friends & compatriots to the Steele Mansion, 348 Mentor Avenue in Painesville on July 24th from 1 to 4 p.m. God Bless You & Richard Beverly Milo and Bert & Bill Tibbits
