Melissa Marguerite Costello, age 96 passed away March 12, 2021 at her home in Painesville. She was born February 26, 1925 in Madison, Ohio to the late Harry and Mary Fell.
Melissa graduated from Madison High School and retired as owner and operator of Toyland of Painesville. Prior to her owning her own business she was employed at Bitzer Furniture and Puritan Bakery. She loved bird watching and tending to her flowers. She was a friend of Dr. Bob and Bill W. for over 52 years.
Melissa is survived by her daughter Sheila Costello, sons Robert (Ellen) Costello, Thomas (Cathy) Costello and daughter Jacquie Jordan and was preceded in death by her husband Donald J. Costello in 1982 and sisters Dorothy (Earl) McCartney, Cora (Ivan) Parker, Maude (Robert) Schack and Bertha (Kenneth) Dawson. She also leaves many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service and celebration of Melissa's life will held later this summer. Date and time will be updated.
Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Painesville.
