Obituary of Juanita Pearl Oliver
Juanita "Jackie" P. Oliver, age 91 of Delaware, OH and long-term resident of Painesville, died on October 21, 2018. She was born on July 19, 1927 in Montezuma, KS, to the late Morton Wilson and Ora Hattie Irene (Obee) Miller. Jackie graduated from Salt City Business school in Hutchinson, KS, where she met her husband, Ralph C. Oliver, on a blind date that lasted 57 years. Jackie was the secretary at Clyde C. Hadden Elementary School for 25 years, retiring in 1989. A member of Painesville United Methodist Church since 1986, she also sang with the Painesville Women's Chorus for 55 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Kaye Oliver, and son-in-law, Christopher Alan Dalheim of Galena, OH; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph C. Oliver; daughter, Cynthia "Cyndy" Leigh Oliver; three sisters, Ida Belle Miller, Bertha Mae Stevens, and Anna Rose Jantz; and three brothers, Ross Miller, John W. Miller, and Hugh Miller.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, 10/27 from 2:00-3:00pm at Johnson's Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Avenue, Painesville; and a Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, 10/28 at 4:00pm at Painesville United Methodist Church, 71 N. Park Place, Painesville. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Painesville United Methodist Church.
