Kevin Maurice Howard was born on September 25,1958 to the late Sylvia R. Howard and was called home on March 28, 2022. Kevin was born and raised in Painesville, Ohio where he attended Painesville City Schools until he graduated from Harvey High School in 1977. Upon graduation from high school, Kevin enlisted in the United States Army where he served four years on active duty and another five years in the Indiana Army National Guard as a Cannon Crewmember earning multiple decorations to include the Army Marksman Medal, U.S. Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Ribbon. After honorably serving his country, he returned home and continued his service working for the City of Painesville for 34 years and was excited about his upcoming retirement. Kevin was a lover of life and lived life on his own terms and he truly loved his family. He was known to many as “Uncle Kevin” and could often be found telling stories from the “old days” while laughing and educating at the same time. He was an avid book reader, loved Bob Marley and could have taught us all a thing or two about fashion. He was known for his flashy bow ties and easily identifiable suspenders. Kevin was truly impactful on the lives of everyone he touched and truly was the epitome of what it meant to “live life like nobody’s watching”, laugh, but most importantly love yourself and your family. He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Zorah Howard; daughters, Maurice Howard and Kenisha Hosterman; step-daughter, Aisha Howard; 2 grandsons; sister, Pamela (James) Hall; nephew and nieces: James (Leah) Hall IV, JaNiece (Kelvin) Lucky, JaNay Hall; along with 12 great nieces and nephews; Aunt Vivian Person, and a host of cousins.
