Rebecca F. Bosworth, 74 of Painesville passed away January 18, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born April 22, 1946 in Decatur, Alabama to the late Howard and Cecile (Wright) Blankenship. She was a 1964 graduate of Riverside High School. She then went on to become an Administrative Secretary with Diamond Shamrock then Ricerca. After her retirement she obtained her Real Estate Agent License and enjoyed selling homes in the area. She resided most of her life in Lake County, mostly in Painesville Twp. and Perry. Rebecca dedicated her life to her family. One of her greatest joys was to attend all of her grandchildren's activities, never missing one until her health would no longer allow her to. Rebecca is survived by her husband of 56 years, Eugene "Jack" Bosworth; son Kevin Bosworth of Painesville, daughters Kelly (Mike) Reed of Painesville and Jacque (Bob) Sparent of Painesville and nephew David (Chikako) Trexler of Hawaii, whom she raised like a son. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren M.J. and Chad Reed, Robert, Jack and Abbi Sparent and Tyson Trexler and brother Eddie (Sharon) Blankenship, sister Sheila (Winn) Cunningham and sister-in-law Barbara Blankenship. She was preceded in death by her parents as well as siblings Judd (Pat) Blankenship, William Blankenship, Haskell Blankenship, Kathryn "Kitten" Blankenship, Wynell (Kenny) Kuhn and twin siblings Linda Bennett and Ernie Blankenship. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. All who loved her dearly will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm and undying love and caring for them. Becky loved to cook. She mastered many dishes such and salmon patties and mustard gravy, spaghetti and meatballs, and Thanksgiving dinners which included lots of gravy. A celebration of life for Rebecca will be held January 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Painesville United Methodist Church, 71 N. Park Place, Painesville, Ohio 44077. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
