Mr. Delvin L. Forte, age 77 of Painesville, Ohio passed away June 8, 2011 at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born to the late Daniel and Dolly Eptin Forte on September 17, 1933 in Raleigh, Mississippi. He was a member and Deacon of Union Community Church in Concord and on the Executive Deacon Board. Delvin loved fishing, gardening and was a master carpenter, whose work is evident in many churches and homes throughout Lake County. His family and working in the church were central to his enjoyment in life. He was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Mr. Forte retired from Stampco in Euclid, Ohio in 1994 and previously had been with American Stamping. He is survived by his wife Bertha, whom he married in 1953. His children Linda (Tyrone) Forte-Davenport of Detroit, Michigan, Gregory (Lovey) Forte of Cincinnati, Ohio and Pamela Forte of Painesville, Ohio. He also leaves his grandchildren Angela, Auriana and Tyrone Jaydon as well as sister Ernestine Jones of Painesville, Ohio. Mr. Forte was preceded in death by his brothers Joseph, Milton, Walter and Charles. His sisters Beatrice Hamilton, Eunice Lawson and Rachael Hays. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Saturday at Union Community Church, 10959 Johnnycake Ridge Rd., Concord, Ohio. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Rev. Roderick A. Coffee I, Pastor of Union Community Church will officiate. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Painesville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the youth of Union Community Church.
