Obituary of Radames Colon

Radames Colon of Painesville died on January 29, 2018 at his home. He was born on May 20, 1950 in St. Isabel, Puerto Rico. He was a resident of Painesville since the age of six.

 

Mr. Colon enjoyed gardening and fishing. He also enjoyed grilling and cooking for family and friends but he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.

 

He is survived by his wife Theresa (nee Wargo), his children Joseph (Michelle) Colon, Cynthia (Terrance) Pryor, Sr., Radames (Laurie) Colon, Jr., and Orlando (Jennifer) Colon; stepchildren Christina (Leroy) Taylor and Christopher (Ashley) Starkey; 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren. He also leaves 8 siblings, Inez, Aradiz, Angelius, Isabel, Rafael, Jr. Virginia, Knoba and Jerry and many nieces and nephews and his first wife Barbara Colon.

 

Mr. Colon was preceded in death by his parents, Rafael and Angelita (Santos) Colon, his brother Jose Colon and sister Juana Santos.

 

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Avenue (opposite Lake Erie College), Painesville. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m.

 

Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Painesville on Friday at 11:00AM.
