Dale James Holden, age 96 of Painesville, died on January 24, 2018. He was born on June 10, 1921 in Painesville to the late Clarence and Gertrude Holden.
Mr. Holden served in the Navy during WWII. He was a member of Painesville United Methodist Church and Temple Lodge #28 F.&A.M. where he was Past Master. He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed woodworking. He was also an avid walker, always greeting friends along the trails.
Survivors are his children; Bonnie Holden of San Diego, CA, Daryl (Robert) Stewart of Painesville, April (Dennis) Holden of Downers Grove, IL, Dale J. (Wendy Craven) Holden of Concord; grandchildren, Jeanna, Jenifer, Aaron, Joaquin, Robert II, Jonathan, James, Katharine, D.J., and Maddy; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Senia; daughter, Senia L. Sivula, and brother, Carl Holden.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 3-6PM at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave, Painesville with a Masonic Service at 5:45PM. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:00AM at Painesville United Methodist Church, 71 N. Park Place, Painesville, Ohio 44077 with Rev. Dr. Jan Yandell presiding. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Painesville with military honors.
